What I’m Into (October 2013 edition)

What I'm into

Today I’m linking up with Leigh Kramer to share what I’m into!

Since I’m in the middle of my Whole 30, I’ve been consulting Pinterest for recipes.

Here are a couple I’ve tried and liked:

Chicken Apple Sausage Skillet

Zucchini Fritters (pictured)

Pumpkin “Granola”

I haven’t bought a new coat in years, and I’m not sure I can make it through another winter without a new one. I’m thinking a leather moto jacket like this one, or maybe this one.

I used to have some black, pointy toed flats I could dress up or down. I wore them out, and I need a new pair. I love these ones.

My new necklace from Beautiful and Beloved! I seriously wear it all the time.

No wine during my Whole 30, so I’ve been loving black coffee, Egyptian licorice tea, and sparkling lime water made with my soda stream.

House of Cards: If you want a show with no sympathetic characters, this is it. We rented Season 1 from Redbox over two weekends, and Kevin Spacey’s brilliant acting drew us in. It’s dark, and full of political corruption, but we finished the first season and it’ll be awhile before there’s a new one. I don’t know that I could watch it week in and week out.

What are you into right now? Have you ever done a Whole 30 or watched House of Cards? What’s your take on moto jackets?

  1. I watched House of Cards, and I agree — it’s very dark! Usually I don’t like shows where I don’t like the characters, but HoC just sucked me in! No Whole30 for me at the moment, but I am trying a new way of tracking my food (which generally keeps me on the straight & narrow) — photos!

  2. Both of those quotes are awesome! I, also, loved Shauna’s post… Never heard of House of Cards. Tim and I are hooked on White Collar.

      1. Oh my, yes! It’s an intelligent, funny (yet suspenseful) crime solving show on USA network. It’s not super bloody which I love. The first three seasons are on Netflix. The fourth season is still currently free on Hulu. We don’t have cable so we are not so patiently waiting for the season five episodes to become available on Hulu…

  3. I love Yogi tea! My favorite is the ginger. There used to be a chocolate chai, too, but I haven’t seen it in stores for a while.

And a big YES to both of those quotes!
