Linking up with Leigh Kramer for this fun monthly post!
But especially in my house. I bought my first potted plant in a while, a rananculus. I really wish they named such a pretty flower something that sounds a lot less like “tarantula.”
I’ve had it for a week and it hasn’t died yet which gave me the confidence to start a Green Thumb Pinterest board. I’ve also decided that Trader Joe’s flowers are a worthwhile budget item.
Specifically, Whoppers Robin Eggs. After my Whole 30, I kept my sugar intake reasonable. It seemed a new lifestyle had really taken hold. But then spring rolls around, and for some reason buying Whoppers feels justifiable because they look like robin’s eggs.
Following eating_whole on Instagram for simple, healthy meal and snack ideas. My recent candy binges suggest I need a little healthy inspiration in my life, and this feed has been a great source- most of the time. Sometimes I’m discouraged by her dedication, usually while I’m looking at her pictures of vegetables with a mouth full of robin’s eggs.
ThredUP and Stitch Fix. After a fruitless and exhausting shopping trip yesterday, I’m reminded once again why I love using these services. (If you’re curious about them, I’ve written about Thred UP here and Stitch Fix here.)
We’re on a bit of a espionage kick over here. We don’t have cable, but I got Homeland from the library. We watched the first season about 6 months ago, and then I was #237 on th waitlist for season 2. I finally got to the top of the list so we were able to watch the first half of season 2.
The Americans is a period show about Russian spies in the U.S. during Reagan’s presidency. It stars Felicity (Keri Russell) and is pretty good so far! We have watched a few episodes of season 1. If you have Amazon Prime, it’s free to stream.
Short Stories by Ernest Hemingway: I’m trying to (very casually) study writers who communicate much with few words, and I remember Hemingway as such a writer from my illustrious career as an English major.
The Ten, Make That Nine, Habits of Very Organized People. Make That Ten.: The Tweets of Steve Martin: I read through some of these while browsing in a bookstore, and it was delightful. At the least, follow him on Twitter.
