When I came across Hayley’s invitation to share goals on the first of this month, I thought it would be scary to make my goals public. It was, but not nearly as scary as coming back at the end of the month to let you know how I did!

I submitted to Venture Magazine’s January edition. I haven’t heard yet if they’re going to use my piece.
Transition from Whole 30 into an improved long term plan (don’t go back to eating sugar and bread everyday!)
I’m still working on this one, but I’m crossing it off because I have given it much thought and have a loose plan. I’ve tried a little of everything I avoided during Whole 30 at this point.
I’ve learned that bread and other forms of sugar contribute to feeling sleepy in the afternoon and milk makes my stomach hurt. My plan: avoid grains, sugar and dairy at home and eat what I want when I go out or to other people’s houses.
Acquire what I need to hang my gallery wall
I forgot to take a picture before we left for our Thanksgiving trip, but the gallery wall is hung! Mike hung the set of gold frames I bought from Etsy and I have pictures in all but the two tiny ones.
Any ideas for what to include in small, rectangular, oddly sized frames? I’ll post a picture when we get home, but two of my favorites are this personalized state print and this John 14:27 watercolor print.
Develop a streamlined process for new project
This project has taken less time than I expected, and it’s been easy to develop a good process.
Read Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life by Anne Lamott
I read about a third of the book and then it was due back at the library. I plan to buy it, though, because it was so good.
Re read The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau with new business idea in mind
I’m about 100 pages in. This book is as inspiring and helpful as I remember, but even more so this time because I’m reading it with specific ideas in mind.
Be a helpful, gracious houseguest for our friends over Thanksgiving week!
We are here now and I’m doing my best! Getting off my laptop and joining them for breakfast would probably be a good start!
Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you so much for being a part of the community here. I’m thankful for you!
